The characteristics of all living organisms, including humans, are essentially determined by information contained within DNA that they inherit from their parents. The molecular structure of DNA can be imagined as a zipper with each tooth represented by one of four letters.

LCS has been collecting DNA samples for Missouri state child support, prisons, institutions, hospitals, criminal cases and private attorneys. We have approximately 12 years experience (references upon request). Laboratory Collection Services, LLC will also collect for motherless, multiple alleged fathers and additional children.

A paternity test is a DNA test that determines whether a man could be the biological father of a child. We all inherit our DNA (the genetic material) from our biological parents. A paternity test compares a child’s DNA pattern with that of the alleged father to check for evidence of this inheritance—the most definitive proof of a biological relationship.

All labs use Buccall swabs, a painless procedure, which consists of rubbing or swabbing the inside of the mouth (cheek) with a cotton or sponge type swab. Facilities are located throughout the United States.
